Your Personal Odyssey Starts Here

Yes. You do have choices, whether you realise it or not.

You can choose the dangerous turn in the Yellow Brick Road to enlightenment by following the deceptive Detour signs to 'group illumination', and risk becoming lost, while you pay, not only a high toll charge in dollars, but the higher price of stilling the always wise voice of your own personal Higher Self - your own intuition ... being taught from within.

Or you can choose an intimate Personal Odyssey, learning to listen to the voice of the Angel of your Higher Self. This is the road which will lead you directly to the Emerald City of enlightenment, not the Oz of pseudo wizards. And you need not walk the road alone. The words of an old song contain a true promise ... "I believe for everyone who's gone astray ... someone will come, to show the way".

That's right. You are entitled to your own Guru. Your own personal Adept or Avatar, who will not only emanate wisdoms of all past Messiahs, but who will lead you into understanding that you, too, are a Messiah. You have the Buddha within you. You needn't look in the Yellow Pages or the telephone directory to locate this special one who will walk along the path with you until you're able to walk alone.

Then, how do you find the Guru you decide to seek alone, without turning your precious minds over to others in expensive, dangerous group seminars? It's really quite simple. Desire. Genuine desire. Desire, when it stems from the heart and the spirit, when it is pure and intense, possesses awesome electromagnetic energy. Released into the ethers each night as the mind falls into the sleep state ... and each morning as it returns to the conscious state ... it will surely and certainly manifest that which has been imaged. You can rely upon this ageless promise as surely as you can rely upon the eternally unbroken promise of sunrise ... and spring.

Often, the initial manifestation of your quest is a series of strange 'coincidences', which are not coincidental at all ... leading you to certain books and websites written about a variety of metaphysical subjects. You can be led to such esoteric works in several ways. Sometimes through a chance remark from friends ... often through your own seemingly aimless but subconsciously purposeful browsing. You'll soon learn to judge for yourself whether a book's contents are misleading or wise by listening to the voice of your own Higher Self, whispering into your inner ear. You'll learn to feel the messages in a short while. Some books you may reject, and others you will inwardly know are teaching a facet of universal truth you can accept.

After you've demonstrated your sincerity of desire by reading the books and websites to which you've trusted your own Higher Self to lead you, by Universal Law, you'll be ready for your personal teacher, who will instruct you in the Socratic method: by asking you questions (not by telling you something), and by helping you remember what you already know but have forgotten.

On your quest for truth, do not blindly accept the validity of the Numerology codes of the Universe which I offer you - until you have practised and carefully tested each one, so that you can decide for yourself rather than take my word for it.

Love and Light,
Adam Goodman.

A Final Few Words...

Before you place your faith in even this correct system of numerology, you should try its calculations for yourself. Try the calculations you've learnt on names and birth dates of; relatives, friends, businesses, entities and people you know very well, enough to be able to decide for yourself. You'll be able to discover how numerology works - but most important, if it works. You shouldn't accept that from me or anyone else - only from your own experience. When you get really good at numerology, try it on people and entities you have no knowledge of - see what numerology can reveal to you about unknown things.

Speaking for my own self, I've never been a real sceptic about numerology; nevertheless I have always needed to know the why of every esoteric science, and then I have to test it repeatedly to be certain it's valid. After I had taken the time to really study it, I could see there was no use doubting it. It simply works.

King Solomon asked God to give him wisdom as "the greatest gift he could receive", and was granted this gift simply because he asked for it. "Ask and you shall receive". "Knock, and it shall be opened unto you". "Seek the truth, and the truth shall set you free".

Love and Light,

The Mysteries of The Number 12

We should now spend some time together studying the various codes of the Compound Number 12. I don't mean the analysis of 12 in the Compound Number definitions which relates to an individual's Karma, but the number l2 itself.

On the East, three Gates; on the North, three Gates; on the South, three Gates; on the West, three Gates. And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
Revelations 21:13

There are 12 astrological signs, from Aries through Pisces. The Earth makes one orbit of the Sun through these 12 signs in the same amount of time the Moon takes to orbit the Earth l2 times. The planet Jupiter is larger than all the other planes in our solar system combined, and Jupiter takes about 12 years to complete one orbit of the Sun.

All great spiritual leaders have had l2 followers. The l2 tribes of Israel were founded by the 12 sons of Jacob. The people of Greece worshipped 12 gods, and there were l2 princes of Ishmael. The great Osiris of Egypt had 12 followers - and the Aztec Quetzalcoatl had 12 disciples. There are 12 gods in the Brahman Zodiac.

King Arthur had 12 Knights of the Round Table. Buddha had 12 disciples. There were l2 altars of St. James and l2 divisions of Solomon's Temple.

A Board of Directors is composed of l2 executives, and there are 12 men and women on a jury. There are 12 basic mineral salts in homeopathic medicine. When gold is weighed, there are 12 ounces to the pound; likewise with the weighing of drugs. There are 12 inches in a foot. Most fascinating of all, the Earth's minerals are also ruled by the number 12. For example, all diamonds have 12 sides and must be cut along these 12 axes.

As we know,Jesus chose 12 disciples (the Single 3 again in his life). As with all spiritual leaders and their followers, Jesus was the l3th - or the Master. Each of the 12 apostles represents one of the 12 Star Signs. The l3th is the Master, who has learned to combine the positive qualities of each of the 12 Star Signs, and to conquer the negative traits of each. The Master combines the courage and innocence of Aries with the patience and stability of Taurus, the versatility and mental alertness of Gemini, the sensitivity and protectiveness of Cancer, the nobility, generosity, and love of Leo, the exquisite discrimination of Virgo, the fairness and justice of Libra, the depth of knowledge of Scorpio, the honesty and idealism of Sagittarius, the endurance and wisdom of Capricorn, the prophetic vision and tolerance of Aquarius, and the compassion and enlightenment of Pisces.

He has learned to cast away the rash, impulsive behaviour of Aries, the stubbornness of Taurus (which is only Taurus patience turned inside out), the irresponsibility of Gemini, the fears and possessiveness of Cancer, the arrogance of Leo, the critical hair-splitting of Virgo, the indecision of Libra, the revenge and retaliation of Scorpio, the blunt speech of Sagittarius, the coldness and ambition of Capricorn, the unpredictable behaviour of Aquarius, and the evasiveness, timidity, and deception of Pisces. Do you see now why the number 13 (the Master) is not really 'unlucky', as most people mistakenly believe?

Numerology and Death Predictions

A famed numerologist who called himself Cheiro, extremely popular in America and abroad during the first part of the twentieth century, was, in my opinion, a brilliant professional in a technical sense, but was a dangerously negative practitioner. His books contain a generous sprinkling of his boasting about how he successfully predicted the exact day of death for numerous clients (mostly royal figures and world celebrities) - either their own deaths, or the deaths of their mates and parents, and so forth. Cheiro possessed the serious flaw of esoteric fatalism, which has caused thousands of people to (justifiably) fear astrology and numerology. (He was also an astrologer).

Death can no more be prognosticated by numerology than by astrology, and if Cheiro was correct on several well-publicised occasions, it was due to the unfortunate result of the deplorable practice by esoteric professionals of planting a negative seed in the mind of the individual, which has the magnetic power to actually bring about the feared event. It's a form of hypnosis, and has the power to cause things to happen that would never have happened with the proper guidance. Those who make such predictions to the people who trustingly look to them for counsel are the direct cause of the unnecessary deaths they program into the trusting minds they advise. To face the truth of it, such counsellors are guilty of unintentional murder.

Never have faith in a numerologist or an astrologer who claims to predict the death of anyone. It's simply not possible. But it is possible for such deaths to occur through the fulminating growth of fear. On those occasions when the ethical professional sees a dangerous period coming up for an individual, whether it's an ordinary person, a King, or a President, his or her responsibility is to warn the person of the approaching testing period - and instruct the person what to do to avoid any serious or fatal experience. And remember that such 'tricky' transits occur in everyone's life periodically, with a fair amount of frequency; therefore, you obviously sidestep them by rechanneling the indicated planetary energy, or you wouldn't still be here.

This 'death prediction' situation so intensely concerns me that I feel you may need a specific illustration. I've already told you that I consider Cheiro to have been a brilliant numerologist, but also a most fatalistic one. There are some rules of numerology he recommends that I strongly disagree with, and consequently will not be giving you, but these are in the minority. Most, even if not all, of his teachings are insightful and reliable. But you have to take the 'whole cake' into consideration before taking a large bite, if you see the analogy.

For example, Cheiro (and he's not by any means the only esoteric professional, astrologer or numerologist, guilty of such behaviour) had several sessions with King Edward VII of England. King Edward was born on November 9th. Therefore, the Single Key Number of his birth was 9. His marriage took place in the year 1863, which Cheiro added to get another 9. He was supposed to have been crowned on the 27th of June (which reduces to 9), and was actually crowned on August 9th, making another 9.

Now, there's no doubt that King Edward's Single Key Number of birth was the Number 9, and it follows all the rules of numerological harmony that important events would occur in his life on "9 days", such as the 9th, 18th, and 27th. But Cheiro dove into very muddy esoteric waters when he took it further, realising the strange link I've already told you about concerning the 3, 6, and 9.

He decided, for inexplicable reasons of his own, that since there is a mysterious connection between 6 and 9 (which I've explained) that Edward would die when these two root numbers 'came together' - that the age of 69 would be a fatal year for the King. He went even further, and decided that since 6 is the number of Taurus, and the month of Taurus is May, that King Edward's death would come on May 6th, in his 69th year.

Cheiro repeatedly made this fatal prediction to Edward VII, to the point that the King began referring to Cheiro as "the man who won't permit me to live past 69". Over and over, in various meeting with the King, Cheiro reinforced his death prediction, and even Cheiro himself stated that "the King never forgot the fatal prediction".

On May 6th, in his 69th year, King Edward suddenly became ill - and died. Cheiro notes this 'successful prediction' among others, in all of his books. What happened is painfully obvious. King Edward was powerfully hypnotised, his subconscious deeply programmed with the negative seed that his death would occur on May 6th, in his 69th year. And so, he obliged. It happened for absolutely no reason at all except for the programming initiated and constantly reinforced by his numerologist. I'm sure Cheiro never realised that he was guilty of the King's death, and I'm equally sure that wasn't his intention; however, the truth is the truth - and ignorance is not, to me, an acceptable excuse.

Just think how many people were born on the 9th day of the month, people to whom important events happened on the 9th, l8th, or 27th. According to Cheiro's flawed reasoning, they must all die during a month ruled by 6 - on the 6th day of that month - when they reached the age of 69. And I don't need to tell you how ridiculous that is. Cheiro based his prediction of death on a misinterpretation of the link between 6 and 9, which has no basis in fact whatsoever, in any esoteric sense. The same kind of weak and false premises are used by astrologers who claim to predict death.

You can change your so-called 'destiny' by simply changing your thoughts. Your thoughts create your environment and all the events taking place in it, whether you want to believe that or not. It's not enough to just change your thoughts, however. A great deal of negative can be transmuted into positive that way, but you must also try to balance your Karma through real positive actions.

The Numbers 4 and 8 - Fate and Destiny

These are known (especially when combined) as the "Numbers of Fate" and the "Numbers of Karma" and hard luck seems to pursue those whose lives are dominated by the 4 and the 8.

When the 4 or the 8 is the Single number of the day of birth, such as the 4th, 8th, l3th, l7th, 22nd, 26th, or 31st, the number has been chosen by the person it represents in the wiser state of grace between incarnations. The Higher Self (soul or spirit), realising that there are heavy karmic debts to be balanced, which have been delayed or procrastinated for too many lifetimes, chooses the magnetic birth channel of the 4 or the 8 to insure that these long overdue karmic obligations are faced and finally neutralised. On the level of awareness between incarnations, the full import of the karmic chain is comprehended.

It's somewhat analogous to the decision of a student who has continually postponed studying for exams or a test, and as the deadline draws near recognises that it's time to get serious and make up for the procrastination - no more fun weekends, no more stalling or goofing off. It's 'cram time' - time for extra-hard study and attention to scholastic obligations.

Naturally, one can't avoid the 4 or 8 vibration as a birth number, nor should one be able to, since the 4 or the 8 guarantees that the person influenced by it will be placed involuntarily in specific situations where particular Karma will be balanced in the present existence. Therefore, you might think it unwise to try to remove any further 4 or 8 influence from your life, because its purpose for being there is so spiritually sound. But this is not necessarily true.

The Single number of the name being a 4 or an 8 is an entirely different matter, since one doesn't choose one's own name(except in certain religions). The parents choose the name (guided subconsciously by the powerful influence of the 4 or 8 birth number - or else blindly choose a name with this vibration for no good reason) - and the person bears it, for better or for worse. Therefore, to change the spelling of the name so that it equals a more fortunate Single number is not unduly interfering with Karma. It's a free will choice - and a sensible way, if this be the desire, of making an individual's path in the present existence considerably smoother and less fatalistic.

When 4 or 8 is the birth number, care should be taken to avoid the numbers 4 and 8 in all other ways, such as address and phone numbers which add to a Compound number that can be reduced to the single 4 or 8 - and to avoid taking important action or planning significant events on dates equalling either of these two numbers, such as the 4th, 8th, l3th, l7th, 22nd, 26th, or 3lst. Most people can handle the 4 or 8 vibration alone. It's the combination of them - the doubling up and increasing the power of the 4 and the 8 that becomes powerfully fatalistic, and causes these unfortunate people to attract far more than their share of bad luck, losses, heartbreak, and disappointments.

Let's consider the two numbers separately, since there's a degree or two of difference between them. We'll begin with the 8.

People whose birth number is 8 seem to be influenced by a more pronounced fatalistic vibration. They are more "children of Fate" than the 4 people. They can be just as strong of character, as noble, devoted, hard-working, and self-sacrificing as others (and frequently even more so) but may feel that they don't receive the rewards they're entitled to or the recognition they deserve. The road to success is a hard one, strewn with obstacles. Although they often manage to rise to a position of high authority, it burdens them with stressful responsibilities, great anxiety, and long hours. 8 people not infrequently manage to accumulate wealth (in fact, the accumulation of wealth at some time in the life is a definite part of the 8 influence - depending on the position of Jupiter in the birth chart) - but the wealth may not bring any real or lasting happiness. In addition, 8 people are often required to pay too high a price for love, which almost invariably brings with it suffering of some kind.

Here's an example: A man born on the 8th, l7th, or 26th day of the month marries a woman born on the 4th, l3th, 22nd, or 3lst day of the month (or whose name equals the single number 4). By thus combining the 4 and the 8, the power of these numbers is increased, and the 8 man will experience many blows of fate, mental tension, and emotional sadness in the married state.

Under the law of magnetic attraction, 4 and 8 people seem to be irresistibly drawn together in all kinds of relationships: love, marriage, friendships, and business associations - relatives and relatives by marriage. The combination cannot be called fortunate, at least not in a worldly sense, although it's common for 4 and 8 people to demonstrate a deep devotion to one another (or one does, to an almost fanatical degree, even when the other doesn't). "For better or for worse", especially during times of illness or other misfortune. Some of the greatest examples of self-sacrifice in history are found when 8 and 4 people marry. The most pronounced aspect about this combination in marriage is sacrifice of some kind. Yet, great good can come from such suffering; the couple can create unusually gifted children - or produce the legacy of classical music, poetry, memorable writing of books, plays, and so forth.

The 8 people who observe the numbers 8 and 4 continually influencing the life regarding dates of important events, telephone numbers, addresses, etc., associated with sorrow, disappointment, and bad luck, should avoid these numbers whenever possible, by changing the spelling of the name (if it equals the Single number 4 or 8) - addressees, telephone numbers, and the like, which add to a Compound number that reduces to a 4 or an 8. They should avoid keeping important engagements or planning significant events on the 4th, 8th, l3th, l7th, 22nd, 26th, or 3lst day of the month - and alter these to produce the Single number 6 (including the name number if necessary). The 8 person should try to carry out all important plans on the 6th or the 24th day of the month, but not the 6 reached through the Compound number 15. Read the reason for this in the analysis of 15 under the Compound number definitions.

8 people who follow this advice, who alter the 4's and 8's in their lives to the single number 6, will substantially reduce their 'bad luck', and be able to control the curious fate that seems to follow them.

They may not, however, be able to avoid all relationships with other 4 or 8 people, because most of these are karmic obligations which must be dealt with and balanced. Most of the 8 person's close friends, business associates, and relatives will usually be a 4 or an 8 by birth, or have names equal one of these two numbers.

The 4-8 vibration is increased if the 8 person is a Star Sign Capricorn or Aquarian, since 8 is the number of Saturn (ruler of Capricorn) and 4 is the number of Uranus (ruler of Aquarius).

A most important thing to remember is this: Some 8 people may prefer to carry out the full force and meaning of the 8 influence, not fearing the consequences, because they feel that forewarned, they can handle the negative aspect of the 8 - and they wish to increase the power of wealth, stability, responsibility, and so forth that the 8 influence brings. Should an 8 person make such a decision, then they should try to do everything important on the 8th, l7th, and 26th days of the month, and if the birth number is 8, they should change the spelling of the name to likewise equal a single 8 (but not in such a way that it equals the Compound 26). In doing this, they'll greatly increase their chances for material success, but they will lead curiously fatalistic lives, seeming to be 'stamped by fate' on whatever path of life they choose.

However, those 8 people who choose to increase the power of the 8 in their lives rather than avoid it must take care to avoid the number 4 whenever possible - because it's the combination of these two numbers that brings strong magnetic negative influences to bear upon them.

This is why the 4 people should not, under any circumstances, increase the power of the number 4, since a double 4 equals an 8. They should avoid, once again, the combination of these two numbers. And because an extra 4 here and there, along with the birth number of 4 (born on the 4th, l3th, 22nd or 3lst) will bring, by addition, the 8 influence to bear, creating the very combination the ancients warn to avoid.

According to the Chaldeans, the number 4 as a birth influence is not quite so heavy an influence as the birth number 8. People with 4 as a birth number will find that the 4th, l3th, 22nd, and 3lst days of the month are of major significance in both their business and personal affairs - sometimes in a negative sense, yet equally as often in a positive sense. Their own addresses and phone numbers and the like - and the dates of birth of people close to them (especially relatives, since the 4-8 combination greatly influences group family Karma) will be 4's or 8's far more often than can be attributed to coincidence. If your birth number is 4, check into it, and you'll be surprised.

Example: 1003 Main Street (is a number 4); Phone: 689-2402 (adds to 31, reduces to 4). Either with or without the area code, and sometimes both ways.

A rare few who have chosen the number 4 as the birth channel are illuminated souls who have erased all past Karma by balancing it in previous lives, and have incarnated in the present existence to 'rescue' a Twin Self who has become - or in danger of becoming - a fallen angel. In such cases, the 4 vibration is chosen to aid in keeping this person on the path of light; to lessen the temptation to form new, negative Karma, thereby also becoming a fallen angel in the attempt to rescue the fallen other half of the Self.

In this instance, the 4 is an extremely protective influence - and in all other cases (which form the majority of the 4 people) the 4 is not so much to be dreaded as to be recognised as a helpful means to discipline one's self in the present incarnation, which is not a negative situation, but quite positive in a spiritual sense.

The Number 53 Definition and Above

Notice that the Compound numbers end with the number 52. This is the reason given by the ancients. It's somewhat obtuse, but I didn't invent numerology, and since I've tested it, discovered that it works, and that it's a helpful and reliable guide, I don't try to penetrate all the veils of mystery around it. According to the Chaldeans, when you pass the root number 9, you multiply 9 until the Compound number 45 is reached. Then you add the mystical 7 to the 45, producing 52, which represents the 52 weeks in our calendar year. When the 52 is then multiplied by the mystical 7, it produces the number 364, equalling the number of days in a year in ancient times. The Chaldeans used the 365th day of the year as the one great festival holiday (holy day), when no work was allowed to be performed by man, woman, child, or animal.

You may be thinking that you know as little after reading the foregoing as you did when you started. But there it is, for those who are simultaneously mathematically and spiritually inclined. Whether or not you comprehend the reason for the rule, it must be observed. The Compound numbers stop at 52. All Compound numbers reached through your calculations that are higher than 52 must be added to reach a new Single and/or Compound number.

For Example: 53 and 63 reduce to the Single numbers 8 and 9 respectively.

Another example: 74 and 87 reduce to the Compound numbers 11 and 15 respectively. So when you're dealing with a name that produces a Compound Key Number past 52, you must use the Single or Compound number it equals when you add the two numbers of the Compound number past 52.

You may need some more examples. If the Compound Key Number of your name is higher than the number 52, you must find a new number as follows:

53 : the Single Key Number 8. No Compound Key Number.
54 : the Single Key Number 9. No Compound Key Number.
55 : the Single Key Number l. The Compound Key Number 10.
56 : the Single Key Number 2. The Compound Key Number ll.

57 : the Single Key Number 3. The Compound Key Number 12.
58 : the Single Key Number 4. The Compound Key Number 13.
59 : the Single Key Number 5. The Compound Key Number l4.
60 : the Single Key Number 6. No Compound Key Number.

and so on...

It's interesting to note that the ancients say: When the Compound Key Number of the name is higher than the number 52 - and will not be added to equal a new Compound Key Number (such as in the above examples of 53 - 54 - and 60) it indicates a person who has paid most of his or her karmic debts, and has less Karma to balance out than the average person. Naturally, this will not hold true when you personally decide to change the spelling of your name yourself; it applies only to a name given to you by destiny, that is: the name your parents bestowed on you, guided by their own Higher Selves. (Compound Numbers represent one's Karma).

The Compound Key Number of the day of birth, of course, is not involved in this rule, since the highest compound birth number is 31.

This number possesses a strong potency of its own. It's associated with the nature of the warrior, and promises sudden advancement in whatever one undertakes. It is especially favourable for those who need protection in military or naval life, and for the leaders of any 'cause' unrelated to war. Yet, it also brings the threat of dangerous enemies and the possibility of attempted assassination; therefore, it is clearly wise, should the name equal 51, to change the spelling to equal a safer Compound number - and forget the glory.

This number has a distinct potency of its own. It's associated with an extremely sensitive nature - good and fortunate friendships - a strong magnetism with the public, often in the area of the Arts - and productive partnerships of all kinds. It places an emphasis on love and romance, and sometimes too much emphasis on sexuality. Attitudes toward sex may be unconventional (but this aspect may not always be present). There is a pronounced need for harmony in relationships. Happiness and success are more easily attained when in partnerships with another rather than when operating alone as a single individual.

This a number of well-deserved karmic reward. 33 people are advised not to abuse the astounding luck which will descend on them at sometime during the life by allowing it to tempt them into laziness, overconfidence, and a feeling of superiority. When a sense of humour and genuine humility accompany the 33 vibration, it's a wonderfully fortunate number.

Communication

This Compound number has the same magical power to sway masses of people as the 14, the same help from those in high positions as the 23. Add all this to the natural ability to charm others with magnetic speech, and it's clear why 32 is sometimes known, by modernising the symbolism of the ancients as "the politician's vibration". The complexities of advertising, writing, publishing, radio, and television are not always, but usually are an open book to the 32 person, who tends to work well under pressure. But there's a warning note sounded within this seemingly happy melody. 32 is a very fortunate number if the person it represents holds inflexibly to his or her own opinions and judgment in both artistic or intangible matters and material matters. If not, the plans are liable to be wrecked by the stubbornness and stupidity of others.

The Recluse - the Hermit

Those whose birth or name number is 3l should first read the analysis of the Compound number 30, because the 3l is very similar to it, except that the person (or entity) represented by this number is even more self-contained, self-sufficient, lonely, and isolated from others. Quite often, genius is present, or at least high intelligence. At some unexpected time in the life, the glittering promises of the world will be suddenly rejected for the peace and quiet of Nature, or, if the response to the 3l is not quite that pronounced, there will nevertheless eventually be a degree of retreat from society in some manner. The 3l person is sometimes opinionated, an advocate of political change, while remaining fixed in personal habits. Even in a crowd, a 3l person will often feel a sense of loneliness and isolation.

The Number 30
The Loner - Meditation

This is a number of retrospection, thoughtful deduction, and mental superiority over others. However, it belongs completely to the mental plane, and those represented by it often put all material things to the side, not because they have to, but because they wish to do so. Consequently, the Compound number 30 is neither fortunate nor unfortunate, because it can be either, depending entirely upon the desire of the person (or entity) it represents. The vibration of 30 can be all-powerful, but it is often indifferent, according to the will of the person. Those whose name equals 30, or who were born on the 30th day of any month, generally count few people as their friends. They tend to be taciturn loners, preferring to be alone with their own thoughts. Social functions and public gatherings are not their style. 30 doesn't deny happiness or success, but fulfillment is more often found in retreating from the chaos of the market place, so that one's mental superiority may be used to develop something worthwhile to the world ... to write ideas which may change the world ... or to protect and develop one's personal talents, such as art or other gifts. It indicates a lonely, yet frequently rewarding life pattern.

The Number 29
Grace Under Pressure

The 29 is a number of perhaps the heaviest Karma of all. It tests the person or entity it represents for spiritual strength, through trials and tribulations echoing the Old Testament story of Job. The life is filled with uncertainties, treachery and deception from others, unreliable friends, unexpected dangers - and considerable grief and anxiety caused by members of the opposite sex. It's a number of grave warnings in every area of the personal life and career. When 29 is the Compound Key Number of the name, it's obvious that the spelling of the name should be changed to lift this difficult vibration, unless one is a masochist.

If 29 is the birth number, and thereby unavoidable, conscious effort must be made to dilute and eventually to negate, neutralise, or erase this karmic burden. It can, to a great extent, be eased by choosing a new name(or spelling) with a strongly positive Compound Key Number.

In the specific instance of the 29 vibration (bringing with it also the secondary vibration of ll, which should also be read regarding the way to relieve the karmic burden) - remember that the development of absolute faith in goodness and the power of the Self ... the constant and energetic cultivation of optimism ... will act as a miraculous medicine for the problems of the number 29.

After all, Job's burdens were finally lifted, when he had learned to accept full responsibility for his troubles, and not to blame others or seek revenge for the hurts he suffered. Not only did his long bad-luck streak end at last, he was given back everything he'd lost, several times over. So, if you were born on the 29th, change the vibration of your name to a powerful number, such as 19, follow Job's example, and soon you'll be as happy as - or happier than - anyone else. Interestingly, the name "Job" equals the powerful Compound number l0 - a difficult vibration to defeat.

The Trusting Lamb

28 is a number of puzzling and frustrating contradictions. It symbolises a person (or entity) of fine promise, even genius, and great possibilities, with the capability of achieving impressive success, and the 28 person frequently does realise such success. only to see everything taken away unless he or she has carefully provided for the future. It indicates loss through misplaced trust in others, powerful opposition from enemies and competitors in business or career, danger of serious losses in courts of law - and the possibility of having to begin the life path over and over again. If 28 is the name number, one might wish to change the spelling to achieve a more harmonious and fortunate number. When 28 is the birth number and therefore can't be altered, the karmic lessons of prudence, caution, and well-laid plans must be learned and practised. When this is done, the negative aspect of the 28 vibration will be substantially diluted. The key is to look before you leap.

Partnerships

This Compound number vibrates, in a strange way, to a unique kind power, based on compassion and unselfishness, with the ability to help others, but not always the Self. 26 is full of contradictions. It warns of dangers, disappointments, and failure, especially regarding the ambitions, brought about through bad advice, association with others, and unhappy partnerships of all kinds. If 26 is the Compound Key Number of the name, it might be best to change the name to achieve a more fortunate influence. If 26 is the birth number, and therefore cannot be altered, the person is counselled to avoid partnerships and pursue the career alone, not heeding even the well-intentioned advice of others, but follow only the personal hunches and intuition - although these should be carefully examined for flaws before acting on them. 26 people should begin at once to stabilise the income, to save money, and not behave in an extravagant manner or invest in other people's ideas. Invest in your own future, be generous with others, especially those in need, but also build a solid foundation for the future for yourself. If your name is a 26, or if you were born on the 26th day of the month, you should read carefully the section about the numbers 4 and 8. (2 plus 6 equals 8, so 26 = 8). It's most important advice for you - or for anyone you know whose name number is 4 or 8, or who was born on the 8th day of the month - or any date that reduces to 4 or 8, such as the l3th, l7th, 22nd, 26th, or 3lst.

The Number 24
Love - Money - Creativity

This number is also most fortunate, another Compound number of karmic reward, justly earned in past incarnations, particularly when it's the birth number. It promises the assistance of those with power, and it indicates a close association with people of high rank and position. It greatly increases financial success, and the ability to achieve happiness in love. It denotes gain through romance, the law, or the arts, and a magnetism which is extremely attractive to the opposite sex. The only warning related to the 24 is self indulgence and a certain arrogance in love, financial, and career matters, because everything comes so effortlessly. It's wise to remember that if the 24 is abused in the present life, it could revert to an 18 or some other extremely difficult birth number in the next. So one is warned not to fail to appreciate the benefits of the 23 and the 24 Compound numbers, and not allow such good fortune to cause selfishness or a careless attitude toward spiritual values. The temptation to indulge in promiscuity must be avoided; likewise a tendency to overindulgence of all kinds.

Submission - and Caution

22 is symbolised by the ancients as "a Good Man, blinded by the folly of others, with a knapsack on his back, full of errors". In the image he seems to offer no defence against a ferocious tiger which is about to attack him. It's a warning number of illusion and delusion. It indicates a good person (or entity) who lives in a fool's paradise; a dreamer of dreams who awakens only when surrounded by danger, when it's often too late. It warns of mistakes in judgment, of placing faith in those who are not trustworthy. If 22 is the birth number, the person it represents should exercise caution and watchfulness (since the birth number cannot be altered) in both career and personal matters. The karmic obligation here is to be more alert, to curb 'spiritual laziness', and develop more spiritual aggressiveness - to realise your own power to change things, to prevent failure by simply ordaining success. When this personal responsibility is recognised, practised, and finally mastered, the 22 person can be in control of events, no longer blinded by the folly of others, and will see ideas achieved and dreams realised. Anyone born on the 22nd day of any month needs to carefully read the section about the numbers 4 and 8.

The Awakening

In addition to being called "The Awakening", this Compound number is also pictured by the ancient Chaldeans as "The Judgment". It has a peculiar interpretation, and is symbolised as "a winged angel, sounding a trumpet, while from below, a man, woman, and child are seen arising from a tomb, with their hands clasped in prayer". At some time in the experience of the person or entity represented by the number 20, there is a powerful awakening, bringing a new purpose, new plans, new ambitions - the call to action for some great cause or ideal. There may be occasional delays and obstacles to one's plans, but these may be conquered through developing patience (the challenge of the number 20) and by continually cultivating faith in one's own powers to transform. 20 brings the blessing of vivid precognitive dreams, plus the ability to manifest the happy ones and cancel the negative ones. It is not a material number, therefore is doubtful regarding financial success. If large sums of money are necessary for practical support of the new cause or ideal, then one may choose a more positive materialistic number by changing the spelling of the name, assuming the 20 is the birth number. If the 20 is the name number, then, hopefully, the birth number will bestow a more fortunate financial vibration. However, those who are comfortable with their 20 vibration seldom care about matters of finance. Money is not important to them - and the 20 will, as a general rule, provide enough for the basic necessities.

The Prince of Heaven

19 is one of the most fortunate and favourable of all Compound numbers. It is symbolised as the Sun, and is called the Prince of Heaven because it indicates victory over all temporal failure and disappointment. It blesses the person or entity represented by it with all of the power of the Compound number 10, without the danger of abuse inherent in the 10. This number promises happiness and fulfillment - success in all ventures as well as in the personal life. Of course, if 19 is the number of the name, it must be considered along with the birth number, which might not be as fortunate. So nothing is perfect, but regardless of the influences of another, possibly negative number, the 19 will smooth the path and greatly dilute any negative vibrations one must deal with in the full numerological analysis.

The Number 18
Spiritual-Material Conflict

Of all Compound numbers, l8 has the most difficult symbolism to translate. (Read again on an earlier page the relationship of l8 to Jesus). The ancients describe the Compound number l8 with the following image: "A rayed moon, from which drops of blood are falling. A wolf and a hungry dog are seen below, catching the falling drops of blood in their opened mouths, while still lower, a crab is seen hastening to join them". 18 symbolises materialism striving to destroy the spiritual side of the nature. It often associates the person or entity represented by it with bitter quarrels within the family circle - with wars, social upheaval, and revolution. In some cases it indicates making money or achieving position through divisive tactics, through war or other conflict. It warns of treachery and deception from both 'friends' and enemies; also danger from the elements, such as fire, flood, earthquakes, tempests and explosions, electrical shock or lightning. If the Compound number of the name is an 18, the vibration should be negated immediately by changing the spelling of the name to equal a more fortunate Compound number. If the birth number is an 18, extreme caution and care must be taken to meet the challenges and dangers of this Compound number. The only way to dilute or diminish its effect on the life is by spiritual means, by unfailingly and repeatedly meeting deception and hatred from others with generosity, love, and forgiveness, by 'turning the other cheek', and returning good for evil, kindness for cruelty, honesty for dishonesty, honour for dishonour. In this way, the vibration l8 may be used for great success in illumination and enlightenment. Those born on the 18th day of any month have chosen themselves (on the level of the Higher Self), between incarnations, this channel of birth (as did Jesus) as the greatest of all testings of the soul for worthiness. Another way to dilute the negative aspect of the 18 is to change the number of the name (whatever number it may be) to any favourable Compound number which adds or reduces to the single 6, by changing the spelling of the name. In addition to the attitude just counselled, this will also help to turn the tragedy of the 18 into triumph. Remember what we've learned about the 6 (Love) always and without exception conquering the 9 of conflict? (l plus 8 is 9). Adding the 6 vibration (with its related number 3) was also chosen when the life pattern of Jesus of Nazareth was planned, as I've already explained. People born on the l8th day of any month would be wise to plan everything of importance on the 3rd or 6th day of any month, or on a day adding to the 3 or 6, especially the 6 - and to add the 6 vibration to the life in every way possible, that is: addresses, telephone numbers, and any other way they can think of (there are many) to emphasise and increase the power of the number 6 in the personal life and career. In this way may one be victorious, in both the spiritual and material worlds, over the restrictions of the 18.
