A famed numerologist who called himself Cheiro, extremely popular in America and abroad during the first part of the twentieth century, was, in my opinion, a brilliant professional in a technical sense, but was a dangerously negative practitioner. His books contain a generous sprinkling of his boasting about how he successfully predicted the exact day of death for numerous clients (mostly royal figures and world celebrities) - either their own deaths, or the deaths of their mates and parents, and so forth. Cheiro possessed the serious flaw of esoteric fatalism, which has caused thousands of people to (justifiably) fear astrology and numerology. (He was also an astrologer).
Death can no more be prognosticated by numerology than by astrology, and if Cheiro was correct on several well-publicised occasions, it was due to the unfortunate result of the deplorable practice by esoteric professionals of planting a negative seed in the mind of the individual, which has the magnetic power to actually bring about the feared event. It's a form of hypnosis, and has the power to cause things to happen that would never have happened with the proper guidance. Those who make such predictions to the people who trustingly look to them for counsel are the direct cause of the unnecessary deaths they program into the trusting minds they advise. To face the truth of it, such counsellors are guilty of unintentional murder.
Never have faith in a numerologist or an astrologer who claims to predict the death of anyone. It's simply not possible. But it is possible for such deaths to occur through the fulminating growth of fear. On those occasions when the ethical professional sees a dangerous period coming up for an individual, whether it's an ordinary person, a King, or a President, his or her responsibility is to warn the person of the approaching testing period - and instruct the person what to do to avoid any serious or fatal experience. And remember that such 'tricky' transits occur in everyone's life periodically, with a fair amount of frequency; therefore, you obviously sidestep them by rechanneling the indicated planetary energy, or you wouldn't still be here.
This 'death prediction' situation so intensely concerns me that I feel you may need a specific illustration. I've already told you that I consider Cheiro to have been a brilliant numerologist, but also a most fatalistic one. There are some rules of numerology he recommends that I strongly disagree with, and consequently will not be giving you, but these are in the minority. Most, even if not all, of his teachings are insightful and reliable. But you have to take the 'whole cake' into consideration before taking a large bite, if you see the analogy.
For example, Cheiro (and he's not by any means the only esoteric professional, astrologer or numerologist, guilty of such behaviour) had several sessions with King Edward VII of England. King Edward was born on November 9th. Therefore, the Single Key Number of his birth was 9. His marriage took place in the year 1863, which Cheiro added to get another 9. He was supposed to have been crowned on the 27th of June (which reduces to 9), and was actually crowned on August 9th, making another 9.
Now, there's no doubt that King Edward's Single Key Number of birth was the Number 9, and it follows all the rules of numerological harmony that important events would occur in his life on "9 days", such as the 9th, 18th, and 27th. But Cheiro dove into very muddy esoteric waters when he took it further, realising the strange link I've already told you about concerning the 3, 6, and 9.
He decided, for inexplicable reasons of his own, that since there is a mysterious connection between 6 and 9 (which I've explained) that Edward would die when these two root numbers 'came together' - that the age of 69 would be a fatal year for the King. He went even further, and decided that since 6 is the number of Taurus, and the month of Taurus is May, that King Edward's death would come on May 6th, in his 69th year.
Cheiro repeatedly made this fatal prediction to Edward VII, to the point that the King began referring to Cheiro as "the man who won't permit me to live past 69". Over and over, in various meeting with the King, Cheiro reinforced his death prediction, and even Cheiro himself stated that "the King never forgot the fatal prediction".
On May 6th, in his 69th year, King Edward suddenly became ill - and died. Cheiro notes this 'successful prediction' among others, in all of his books. What happened is painfully obvious. King Edward was powerfully hypnotised, his subconscious deeply programmed with the negative seed that his death would occur on May 6th, in his 69th year. And so, he obliged. It happened for absolutely no reason at all except for the programming initiated and constantly reinforced by his numerologist. I'm sure Cheiro never realised that he was guilty of the King's death, and I'm equally sure that wasn't his intention; however, the truth is the truth - and ignorance is not, to me, an acceptable excuse.
Just think how many people were born on the 9th day of the month, people to whom important events happened on the 9th, l8th, or 27th. According to Cheiro's flawed reasoning, they must all die during a month ruled by 6 - on the 6th day of that month - when they reached the age of 69. And I don't need to tell you how ridiculous that is. Cheiro based his prediction of death on a misinterpretation of the link between 6 and 9, which has no basis in fact whatsoever, in any esoteric sense. The same kind of weak and false premises are used by astrologers who claim to predict death.
You can change your so-called 'destiny' by simply changing your thoughts. Your thoughts create your environment and all the events taking place in it, whether you want to believe that or not. It's not enough to just change your thoughts, however. A great deal of negative can be transmuted into positive that way, but you must also try to balance your Karma through real positive actions.
