How Does Numerology Work?

Numbers speak directly to the subconcious of minds everywhere, therefore the constant repetition of the vibrational frequency upon the ethers impacts people's perceptions and actions. In other words, the more often you send out a particular Single or Compound number's vibration, via the spoken, written, or printed word, the more powerful it is in its influence. Repetition is required for it to be fully effective. So it doesn't do much good to select a name for a business or whatever - or to change the numerical vibration of your own name - if you're the only one who knows about it.

Samuel Clemens would not have received the added benefit of the number 17 of Mark Twain (promising that his name would live after him) if he had kept the name change a secret. Instead, 'Mark Twain' was printed over and over on hundreds of thousands of books (eventually, millions) - and in various other ways over the years, including his spoken introductions at countless social affairs as 'Mark Twain'.

Samuel Langhorne Clemens (November 30, 1835 – April 21, 1910), better known by his pen name Mark Twain

So don't expect to see much difference if you change your name or choose a new name for an entity unless you make a special effort to send out the new vibration to impress itself upon the ethers and reach as many subconcious minds as possible. Sign your name (or the title of an entity) as frequently as possible, print the new name on business cards, handing out as many as possible, be sure you're introduced by the new name at business meetings and social functions - and increase its power every chance you get - in every way possible.

Whilst it's true that you can just add an initial to your name and still observe remarkable changes in your life, the changes with more possibilities of a power increase are:
(a) to remove one of your first names, assuming you have two of them, and assuming that gives the desired new numerical value -
(b) add a new first name (preferably with a hyphen, for example Mary-Jane or joined as Maryjane) assuming you already have only one, and insist that others refer to you in that way - or
(c) change the spelling of either the first or the last name (surname).

The easiest and the most effective way to make a change is to either adopt a different or similar first name - or change the spelling of either the first name or the surname.

Remember that the Key Numbers of your day of birth exert a stronger influence over your life than those of your name, so obviously while you can choose to gradually change the vibratory influence of your name by changing the spelling in some way, you cannot change the day of your birth.

Also, people with titles must consider the title before their names as an additional number. For example, you've already studied the illustration of Abraham Lincoln's birth and name Key Numbers, and their meanings, but he was also referred to frequently as 'President Lincoln'. Therefore, the calculation of the Key Numbers for President Lincoln are important as a secondary influence. The Single and Compound Key numbers of both names should be taken into consideration, since both names exert power over the life.

In the case of titles, such as Doctor, which can abbreviated, always calculate the Key numbers of the name using the most commonly used form. For example, Use 'Dr' not Doctor, because when people say it, even though it has six letters, they mentally image it as 'Dr'.

When you change your Key Numbers, you will absolutely see a great difference, a marked improvement in all your affairs. But every time you stub your toe, or your stocks and shares go down, don't blame it on numerology. A word to the wise should be sufficient. Only the unenlightened would expect 100% 'heaven on Earth' simply by increasing the positive power of numbers in the life - and they are very much a positive power when they are properly employed and properly understood. But they cannot - and should not - replace your own personal and individual responsibility to do all the things needed to achieve happiness, contentment and success. If numerology removed your free will choice to such an extent, it would not be positive, but a negative force in the Universe, resulting only in postponing the inevitable karmic responsibilities until a future incarnation - and this is contrary to its purpose for existing as a valuable guide for men and women on their path to truth and self-awareness.
